Daily Clip

Daily Clip

Recommended for extra long, heavy hair.
Soul Clip
Recommended for short, dense, or coily hair.
Demi clip
Not recommended for very coarse, dense, long, or coily hair types. Instead we recommend the Daily Clip or Soul Clip.

How do the sizes translate between styles?
Daily Clip
Considered the most true to size claw clip. It is recommended to use the fit of your Daily Clip to properly size in our other styles.
Soul Clip
Fits slightly large; if between sizes, size down.
Demi clip
Fits slightly small; if between sizes, size up.

Are they really unbreakable claw clips?
Our strong claw clips are crafted for durability and strength, supported by a warranty. While robust, they are designed to withstand regular use rather than being considered indestructible. We stand behind the quality of our clips, ensuring they meet our high standards of craftsmanship.
Are the clips waterproof?
Each clip features a steel spring, which may rust if exposed to water for prolonged periods. To preserve the integrity of your clip, it’s recommended to minimize prolonged contact with moisture.
Do your clips hold braids, locs, or twists?
Our clips are designed to securely hold a variety of hairstyles, including braids, locs, and twists. The Soul Clip in XL is highly recommended for these hairstyles.

Why are Cellulose Acetate clips better than plastic?
Cellulose
Cellulose Acetate (CA) is an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastics. Derived from wood pulp + cotton fibres. At Kōv Essentials, all hair clips are made with CA, allowing them to be more durable and flexible. When bent they "bounce" back compared to plastic which breaks.
Plastic
Hair clips made with traditional plastic are not only leaving a negative impact on the environment, but tend to be rather fragile. Plastic hair clips typically have sharp edges which can cause breakage to your hair and discomfort with wear.
Caring for you clip
Cellulose Acetate is more heat sensitive requiring more care than drug-store hair clips made with plastic.
We recommend against wearing your CA hair clips in the sun or direct heat (i.e. sauna) for extended periods of time, as they are more sensitive to heat than traditional plastics.
