French Pin in Gold

such a chic way to put up my hair! the quality is outstanding compared to my amazon one.

I love all the branding that KOV Essentials does; I've had my eye on this pin and the hair brush for a while now and finally caved in. The pin is a lightweight, sturdy plastic. At first I wasn't skeptical about the quality after realizing it was made of plastic, as I have super thick asian hair (and a LOT of it) and a history of my hair accesories breaking and snapping on me. I have a feeling this french pin will last a while (... but time will tell). The black colour is solid and even throughout, and the cut is smooth from manufacturing- quite impressed. I've put my hair up twice now and it is able to hold my butt-length hair up in a sleek updo for hours. It is comfortable enough to sleep in and stays reasonably place throughout the night without tugging or pulling at my hair. I would recommend, this. 4.5 stars from me.

It's good quality, yet I am still having difficulty making a brioche bun with it. I need more time to do it properly. It is pretty good for thick hair. I was a bit worried about whether it would work on Asian thick, coarse hair.

I don't think I've ever written a review for anything before, so from the jump that already says a lot about how happy I am with my purchase.

I have VERY thick, long hair. I was hesitant/doubtful as to whether the L/XL size of these pins would be enough to hold my hair – I'd given up hope for many hairstyles due to how thick my hair is, including the french pin, and I've already tried several hair accessories from other companies that claimed to be thick-hair-friendly, but none of them ended up working on my hair – until now!!

The pin not only holds my hair in place, it holds it SECURELY.

There's still a small learning curve to it, I'd suggest watching videos and making sure you're catching & pinning the hair in the right spot to hold it tightly in place. It took me 3-4 tries after watching a few videos before I got the hang of it, but that's coming from almost 0 experience with these.

The only other time I'd tried a french pin was 5+ years ago – I was adamant about it, but nonetheless realized french pins were too small/thin to hold my thick hair in place and gave up on them. At least until today!

I'm in love! Highly, highly recommend for anyone with thick hair.
